this is so cool. I didn't even know I was looking for it, but .. there it was.

first things first. there's a set of programs out that have been floating around for some time.. pgp (pretty good privacy) started it all then a open source project started called gpg (Gnu Privacy Guard), the aim of both of these is pretty much to put military grade encryption into the hands of common people. and I think it's an excellent idea. paranoia isn't just a text based game on unix machines.

so for the longest time, the difficult part of dealing with gpg/encrypting in email is that it didn't really plug in well to many mail clients and those that did.. well. they were pretty much all on unix machines and probably commandline driven. which is mostly fine, but not really the slant of most of the world. then along comes firegpg and coupling that with a windoze based gpg client, you can easily turn any sniveling windows wrecked trashtop into a secure email sending badass with your gmail account. how pimped out is that? so I encourage you now in blog, later in formal entish. go download this software.
